Nutrition is a major component of an individual’s overall health and can have a significant impact on quality of life. At Unbound Recovery, Registered Dietitian Nutritionists believe in patient-centered care, and developing a trusting relationship with you. Dietitians work together with therapists to provide empathetic and compassionate care to explore food and body image issues while empowering you to trust food and your bodies again. We recognize that change is difficult, and the team is here to support you through those difficult changes that lead to a balanced, healthy, and fulfilling life with food.
After completing a thorough assessment of an individual’s history and goals, dietitians will determine nutrition counseling and educational strategies that will be helpful in recovery. The primary objectives of nutrition counseling are to provide a safe environment for individuals to process fears, learn how to eat a variety of balanced meals and snacks daily based on individual needs, and develop healthy emotional regulation skills. Our dietitians look forward to providing you with the education, motivation, and support needed to help you implement small changes to reach overall goals.
