BS, MS, and PhD in Dietetics from Kansas State University. Completed Dietetic Internship through New York Institute of Technology.
Skill Set and Expertise
As a dietitian for over 20 years, she has worked as a clinician, manager, and instructor in higher education. She has developed an effective counseling method to help clients establish positive change. She is currently working towards her Certification as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS).
Treatment Approach
She understands the importance of providing a safe environment for clients to explore their own goals and motivations for eating disorder treatment. She also provides guidance, education, and resources for a holistic approach and enjoys collaborating with the client and the rest of the treatment team. She truly enjoys building therapeutic relationships.
Passion
I am passionate about working with clients to build a better relationship with food and their body to improve quality of life. I enjoy taking a balanced and nonjudgmental approach with nutrition and health and dispelling myths about body shape, size, and health. She is also very passionate about her family and striving to be a positive role model for her children.
Personal Hobbies and Characteristics
I enjoy spending time with my husband and 5 children--playing games, family walks, watching movies, etc.; as well as running; reading; and arts and crafts.
