Faith Mayhugh

Faith Mayhugh, MS, RDN, LD

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Practice Location(s)

Topeka, KS

Education

Master of Science in Dietetics from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Faith also completed her dietetic internship through the University of Kansas Medical Center and received her Bachelor’s degrees in Dietetics and Nutrition & Health (Kansas State University) and Exercise Science (University of Kansas).

Skill Set and Expertise

Faith has experience providing nutrition care to individuals with a variety of nutrition-related concerns, with a particular passion for eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns. Through her graduate education and clinical experiences, she developed a strong interest in the intersection of nutrition, mental health, and the way our relationship with food can impact overall well-being. She is passionate about helping clients move away from rigid food rules and toward a more flexible, peaceful, and trusting relationship with nutrition and their bodies.

Treatment Approach

Faith strongly believes that nutrition care should be individualized, compassionate, and rooted in collaboration. She strives to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported without judgment. Rather than focusing solely on food or numbers, she takes a whole-person approach to nutrition and recognizes the many emotional, social, and personal factors that influence the way we eat. Faith believes that clients are the experts on their own experiences and values working alongside them to build trust, challenge food and body beliefs, and develop skills that support lasting recovery. Her goal is to help each client build confidence, find flexibility, and develop a more peaceful relationship with food and their body.

Passion

Faith is passionate about helping people discover that life can become so much bigger when food and body image no longer take up so much mental space. She finds meaning in the small but significant moments of recovery: trying a previously feared food, challenging an old rule, sitting through discomfort, or enjoying a meal without guilt. She believes nutrition is an important part of healing, but that recovery ultimately creates room for something even greater: relationships, experiences, confidence, and a life that is not defined by food!

Personal Hobbies and Characteristics

Faith loves spending time with her family, friends, and her dogs! She enjoys staying active, traveling, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, getting creative with cooking and baking, and is a huge movie lover!
